Photography - Studio Portraits

Aufgabenstellung

Objective

The objective is to allow the participants to demonstrate professional competence in production of good portraits by their own interpretiation of art.

Task

The assignment for the contestant is to produce 6 portraits of a live model.

Special Instructions

• Portraits will be taken in an existing studio.
• Equipment and live model will be made available.
• No participant can see others working.
• All facilities provided will be the same for all participants. No own or additional equipment will be allowed.

Material

The organizers will provide following equipment, materials and facilities

• 35 mm camera with lens
• Tripods for camera and lights
• 4Studio lights with attachements
• Background
• 2 Softboxes
• Colour negative film 100 ASA (6 exposures per participant)
• Processing and printing
• Live Model
• Seating arrangements
• Exposure meter
• Grids

Special Note

The processed prints will be returned to each participant at 9.00am on 27th November 2003. The portfolio of selected 3 prints must be submitted for judging latest by 10.00am on 27th November 2003. All the negatives and prints will become the property of the organizers wich will be used only for the promotion of Abilympics.
